Part 1, Folios 164-165. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. He is pleased that the Turks may be besieged in 'some considerable place in Hungary' and that they are in such a state that he longs for the next post from Germany. The letters from Flanders have been delayed by contrary winds. The King has appointed a new Court of Aldermen for the City of London, 18 of the old ones and eight new. The death of the King of Portugal [Afonso VI] has been confirmed.
