Part 1, Folios 152-153. Letter dated at Windsor from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. The Duke is pleased that the Prince is satisfied with the assurance given to Monsieur Bentinck 'of my real kindness to you and though we differ in our opinions as to affairs on your side of the water (which I am sorry for) that shall not alter my kindness to you, for people may be very good friends, I think, though they may differ in point of judgement as well in matter[s] of state as religion'.
