Part 1, Folios 148-149. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. The King has said that he would be sure to act in the affair of Orange when it is appropriate. The Duke agrees with the Prince that nobody has more reason to want peace and hopes he will take the measures necessary to obtain it. The Duke says that, though the Prince need not separate from his allies, he may give them good advice which the Duke believes the Spanish would follow and the Emperor will have enough to do to defend himself from the Turks.
