Part 1, Folios 140-141. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. As the Prince will have heard the outcome [of the Duke's action of scandalum magnatum] against Lord Gray [Ford Grey, Baron Grey of Warke] and Pilkinton [Thomas Pilkington] the Duke will not repeat it again but comments that what was done to Pilkington 'has mortified very much that seditious and turbulent party which now lose ground every day'. Lord Shaftesbury and Prince Rupert are mentioned.
