Description

Part 1, Folios 107-108. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. The Duke of Monmouth should by now have arrived in Ostend with orders to pull out eight battalions of foot from 14 in Flanders and hurry with them to the Prince. Two more battalions are being sent from England direct to Antwerp but the Duke fears they may not arrive in time, a stop having been put on embarking the 3,000 horse and dragoons after he and the King spoke with Lord Feversham and the Marquis de Bourgemaine.
