Part 1, Folios 76-77. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. Although the reaction of the Dutch is not yet known, there is no doubt in England that a peace will be accepted. The Commons are very keen for the immediate disbanding of the newly raised troops and have been busy calculating the money necessary for paying them off which the Duke thinks 'is very contrary to what ought to be done'.
