Part 1, Folios 62-63. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange that he has nothing very pleasing to write as things 'go very oddly on'. Instead of both Houses giving an answer to the King, the Commons are finding fault with the treaties, speaking against the ministers and doing nothing as they should do so that one does not know whether they would have war or peace. The conduct of the Commons has resulted in problems paying the army and this led to the delay in the departure of the two regiments for Bruges but they will now be embarking without fail but the same shortage of money will hinder sending over more men every day.
