Part 1, Folios 43-44. Letter dated at London from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange that he is sorry preparations are going so slowly but although Parliament has been sitting for nearly a month not so much as a money bill has been prepared. The Duke hopes that news of the French advance on Namur will bestir Parliament and de Bourgemaine to make no further delays which have proved so prejudicial to his master. As soon as de Bourgemaine gives the word men are ready to be sent over to Ostend and Nieuwpoort and no time will be lost once any money bills are at the stage to be read.
