Folios 221-222: John Russell, Sea Fencibles, Dundee. Informing of the continued ill health of Alexander Fraser and as a result he will continue to act as ordered on 3 September and requesting that the Navy Board be directed to honour his Bills for the pay of the Sea Fencibles.
Folios 223-224: enclosure with folios 221-222. Letter from Alexander Fraser, Dundee, dated 28 December 1808 to John Russell, informing him that, notwithstanding his letter of 18 December stating his restoration to health sufficient to allow him to resume his duties, he now feels still unable to manage, so he will write to the Admiralty requesting that Russell continue to execute all duties as before and to draw necessary bills.
