Folios 161-163: Robert Rolles, HMS Lion, Spithead. Regarding the alterations to the ship's lower yards and top gallant masts, which have resulted in the masts being too weak to carry the top gallant sails in a common breeze and the royals at almost any time and so Rolles is requesting that directions be issued to fit them according to the old establishment; also details of the defects on HMS Lion, signed by Rolles and James Harver, Carpenter.
