Court and Date of Trial: Forfar Sheriff's Court, Dundee, February 1848.
Crime: Assault.
Initial sentence: Eight months imprisonment.
Outcome: Free pardon, 10 July 1848.
Petitions and letters: Petition from the prisoner in Dundee gaol, pleading ill health, with supporting certificate from magistrates, medical certificate confirming dropsy and covering letter.
