Court and Date of Trial: Montgomery Quarter Sessions, Newtown, April 1849.
Crime: Horse stealing.
Initial sentence: Six months imprisonment.
Outcome: Free pardon, 30 August 1849.
Petitions and letters: Medical certificate from surgeon of Montgomery gaol confirming the prisoner's illness (dropsy), with covering letter from visiting justice recommending mitigation on grounds of ill health and good conduct.
