Court and Date of Trial: Essex Magistrates' Court, February 1849.
Crime: Lack of sureties for breach of peace against Austin Perkins and John Kirkham of Grays.
Initial sentence: One year's imprisonment.
Outcome: Free pardon, 30 August 1849.
Petitions and letters: Two petitions, one from each prisoner in Ilford House of Correction, pleading complainants recommend mercy.
Certificates from governor of Ilford gaol, testifying to good conduct of prisoners.
