Description

Captured ship: Golden Lion of London (master Leonard Webber).

History: an English merchant ship (350 tons, built at Konigsberg, bought at London in July 1671 from previous master and part-owner, Paul Albis), bound from Barbados to London, laden with sugar, cotton and ginger (the goods of Englishmen were consigned to London, and of Jews resident in Barbados were consigned to Jewish merchants in London); came into Falmouth before 26 August/5 September 1672, and was there seized by 26 August/5 September 1672.
