Administrative / biographical background

The Seed Sectoral Group is the only statutory committee of the British Potato Council. It is appointed in accordance with the terms of the Potato Industry Development Council Order, article 5. It was responsible for reporting to the British Potato Council how its functions should be best carried out in relation to the seed sector of the industry. Its membership includes three Council members including the British Potato Council chairman (as an ex-officio member) and ten members nominated by the industry. One member would also sit on the Research and Development Committee.
