Folios 107-108. A report from Hen [Henry] Guy to Sir Robert Howard, Auditor of the Exchequer, dated at the Treasury Chambers [Whitehall, Middlesex]. Specifies the disbursements required for this week's customs money, excise, hearth tax, and post office receipts, including Sir Christopher Wren's provisions for the Coronation [of King James II], and also Signor Verio [Antonio Verrio] for painting Henry VII's [St George's] chapel at Windsor [Berkshire]. Mentions: Portsmouth [Hampshire] yards; the 'HMS Mary', 'HMS Mermaid' and 'HMS Monmouth' yachts; 'secret service'; Charles Fox, paymaster of the forces; advances to Stephen Fox, Earl of Sussex, Sir Robert Vyner, and Lord Bruncker; Philip Packer and 'Waite the gardener at Whitehall [Middlesex]'; warders of the Tower [of London]; Sir Peter Wyche; Sir Gabriel Sylvius. Endorsed, on reverse, with orders from Mr Howard for some of these disbursements.
