Folio 101. A letter from Sir Francis Lawley to Lord [Sunderland] requesting the King backing for him in the parliamentary election in the constituency of Lichfield [Staffordshire]. He is in danger of losing it because Mr [Richard] Leveson is being supported by the Earl of Shrewsbury, Lord Weymouth, Lord Ferrers, and [Baron] Dartmouth. Captain Orme has been ordered to desist. Also mentions the victory of his son [Thomas Lawley in Much Wenlock] Shropshire.
