Folio 100. A letter from Lord Brook to Lord [Sunderland], dated at Kno [Knowle, Warwickshire] concerns electing a new member of parliament for Warwick [Warwickshire] after the death of [Simon Digby] Lord Digby [in 19 January 1686].Upon the advice of Sir Henry Puckeringe, Sir Richard Verney, and others, the writer had resolved to name Sir John Mordant. Mr [Robert Fielding, alias] [Beau] Fielding has brought a letter from the recipient on the subject. Note: This letter was dated on 2 April 1685 in error.
