Description

Folios 51-54. Folio 51. Order in Council referring the annexed petition to the Committee for Trade and Plantations. Folios 52-54. The Clothiers of Suffolk and Essex to the King. Petition that they are unable to employ the poor families dependent on them because of the decline in the manufacture of broadcloth previously sent abroad, mainly to Turkey, but now no more than one third is sent. They pray for relief and that the Turkey Company might send out the cloths as before. 70 signatures. Endorsed: Received 13 May 1686. Endorsed: Received 13 May 1686.
