Letter dated at Thetford [Norfolk] from Walter Salter to Sir Joseph Williamson in Jarmin [Jermyn] Street, London that he was unable to speak to his father [in law John] Mendham at Thetford but if Mendham calls on Sir Joseph please would Sir Joseph mention Salter's condition to him as well as what he (Salter) has paid and stands engaged for him as what is due for his (Salter's) wife's fortune.
