Folios 152-154. Jean Douglas to the King. Petition for the lives of her two sons, James Sinclair a gunsmith, and John Sinclair an engraver,' who were unfortunately brought over to engrave three heads upon steel' and capitally convicted at Monmouth by Judge Richard Holloway. The petition was referred by the King to Holloway who, on 22 October, certified that the two brothers were fit objects of the King's mercy.
