Description

Folios 217-218: John Barrow, Admiralty, to John Henry Cartier, Heron's Hotel. The dispute between him and the inhabitants of Faversham it is necessary to supercede him from the command of that ship. [HMS Broederschap]. [Verso] From John Henry Cartier, Iveson's? Hotel, to Admiralty, dated 2 July 1804. [Questions the decision and asks what of his actions have caused it] [Folio 218] From William Marsden, Admiralty, to John Henry Cartier, dated 3 July 1804. Has passed your letter dated yesterdays date. His letter dated 29 June 1804 and gives the reasons as to why he was removed.
