Folios 611-611: Robert Cuthbert, Sea Fencibles, Hull. In answer to the Admiralty's letter about the damage to the ballast vessels, has consulted Mr Gleadow, who has the contract for fitting them out. He says he directed they be placed in what was considered a safe position, and that on the night the gale commenced he stopped them being moved further up the harbour because that would have meant that the men fitting them out would have lost the work.
