Folio 225: John Culverhouse, Regulating Captain, Liverpool. Replies to the letter of 27 March regarding two men who claimed to be American. William Courtney 's documents were sent to the Admiralty with his letter of 27 March. Courtney was impressed on 9 December 1803 as he was trying to rescue other men from the press gang. He had lived in Liverpool for some time and was understood to be Irish. The Consul would not claim him. William Draper, alias James Draper, was discharged on 7 March on Admiralty orders.
