Folios 661-662: George Countess, Cove. He has contacted General St Eyre Coote and he thinks that the men he, Countess, has raised will be of great service in defending the different forts and batteries off Ireland. They will be armed with pikes and kept in readiness on board HMS Trent. Countess needs a boat and boats crew as Cove is on an island and he will need to visit Passage, Crosshaven, Carrigaline, [Rinnishiddy?]. Rustellion and Spikehead Forts and requests a whale boat with 4 men and a coxwain. He also requests that Lieutenant Phillip Dunnavon, late of the Maria tender, to be placed under his command.
