Folios 640-641: John Cooke, HMS Salvador del Mondo, Hamoze. Reporting that Joseph Watson, acting gunner, was received from HMS Surinam on 29 June and has passed his examination to serve as a gunner.
Folios 642-643: enclosure with folios 640-641. Letter dated 12 October 1804 by Joseph Watson, HMS Salvador del Mundo, Plymouth. Enclosing letter and awaiting the reply.
Folios 644-645: enclosure with folios 640-641. Letter dated 12 October 1804 by Joseph Watson, HMS Salvador del Mundo. He was appointed by Commodore Hood to act as gunner on HMS Surinam but on arrival at Plymouth was deemed unfit for serivce, He requests to join any ship in actual service in any station.
