Description

Folios 634-635: John Cooke, HMS Salvador del Mundo, Hamoaze. Enclosing report from Lieutenant James Cleverley about Isaac Clark, an able seaman sent from Fowey Rebdezvous to his ship. Lieutenant Priest has said that Captain Dilkes had rejected Clark because of infirmities and his age.

Folio 636: enclosure with folios 634-635. Letter dated 16 September 1804 by John Hallett, Surgeon, Fowley. Certifying that Isaac Clarke was fit for service.

Folios 637-638: enclosure with folios 634-635. Letter dated 13 October 1804 by James Cleverley, Rondezvous at Fowey, . He was sopped on St Blazey Highway, Fowey by Isaac Clarke who had benn rejected by the commanding officer of HMS Salvador del Mundo as worn out but claiming to be 46. He was examined by a surgeon and deemed fit. He would now like to claim expenses for his entry, victualling and travel to Plymouth.

Folio 639: enclosure with folios 634-635. Receipt for one man sent from the Rendezvous at Fowey for B of HMS Salvador del Mondo ay Plymouth. Subsisted at the Rendezvous 16 September 1804.
