Folio 562: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Stating that William Barlow has been at sea about 2 years, has a wife and 2 children, his father, though infirm, belongs to a club and receives weekly pay.
Folios 563-564: enclosure with folio 562. Letter dated 22 December 1804 by Thomas Barnes, 10 Grayson Street, Liverpool. Because William Barlow has a wife, 3 children and an infirm father totally dependent on him, he requests that he is discharged.
