Description

Folio 497: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. In reply to the letter of 15 September, inclosing an application from Lorentz Hansen, the Swedish consul of Liverpool, for the release of Carl Frederick Torsberg, Mattias Gronros, Jacob Chalen, Jacob Tonson, Petter Larsson and Kraft Olson, he states that they were taken out of the American ship John in consequense of their mutinous conduct in refusing to heave up the anchor. He finds that they have protection from the consuls as stated in Mr Hansen's letter.
