Folios 271-272: James Colnett, HMS Glatton, Leith. Concerning William Husonsaid to be an Amercian. No-one of that name is on board but there is a William Harrison lately from HMS Roebuck who wrote to the American consul to get his discharge. He cannot produce any documents of his citizenship. He claims that his protection and indentures were taken from him by a lieutenant to serve on the John de Witt Dutchman of war. He deserted and entered a the L'Espion French privateer brig where he was taken by HMS Amythyst off North Bergen into HMS Roebuck and then onto HMS Glatton. He claims that there is a man on HMS Roebuck to attest to his being born at Philadelphia.
