Folios 91-92: Thomas Cochrane, HMS Arab at the Nore. Reguarding the enclosed letter from the vitualling office, he states that the wine was not purchased until he had spoekn to by the surgeon. He had even supplied wine from his own table.The surgeon 's leeter is enclosed requesting wine to comfort the sick in the absence of vegetables. Lord Keith has ordered that the ship be loaded with provisions and even the spirit room was full of shot for the guns.
