Folios 87-88: Thomas Cochrane, HMNS Arab at the Nore. As his gunner who was left at sick quarters at Leith is now dead, he requests that Robert Stafford be appointed as gunner or petty officer.
Folios 89-90: enclosure with folios 87-88. Letter dated 20 July 1804 by Robert Stafford, London,on board HMS Enterprize. Requesting appointment. Also recommending Robert Gray as well.
