Description

Folios 191-192: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, South Shields. Response to a request to state the case of Thomas Miller, a keelman from Newcastle and the offer to provide a substitute to replace him by Mr Beardsley.

Folios 193-194: enclosure with folios 191-192. Letter dated 7 June 1804 by Charles J Brandling, Scarborough. Encloses an application from Mr Hood, a Magistrate of Newcastle to replace Thomas Miller, a bound skipper, who was impressed with a replacement to facilitate his release from service.

Folio 195: enclosure with folios 191-192. Letter dated 1 June 1804 by Mr Hood, Magistrate, Newcastle to Charles J Brandling. Application from Mr Hood, a Magistrate of Newcastle to replace Thomas Miller, a bound skipper, who was impressed with a replacement to facilitate his release from service.
