Folios 180-181: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Response to a request to state the case of Frederick Smith, who was impressed at North Shields on 24 May 1804 and whose discharge has been applied for by the Swedish Consul, Mr Claes Grill. When impressed he had with him a certificate which stated he was a native of Oldenburgh signed by a clerk of the Prussian Consul and did not state that he was a Swedish subject.
