Folios 161-162: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Response to order to comply with the discharge of the mates and carpenters on board the Eliza Tender. Advises that this had already sailed when the order was received. Questions the exemption of these mates and carpenters from the operation of the Act of the 31 George 3 Chap 39th and asks that they reconsider.
