Folios 151-152: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Acknowledges the order to discharge the Sea Fencibles: Edward English, Daniel Josslyn, Charles Claud, John Wadling, Adam Paskell, Charles Green, James Jerman and James Rutter as a result of the petition from the Merchants at Mistley. Explains that he detained these men as being seamen and they should never have been enrolled as Sea Fencibles but he believes they imposed themselves on the Officers to exempt them from impress.
