Folios 143-145: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields, 16 May 1804. Encloses a Protection Certificate from Benjamin Dodds, Master Rigger, for himself and two men. As they are obviously seamen, he questions how they think this fraud could be overlooked and they have been detained for service.
Folios 145-146: enclosure with folios 143-145. Protection Certificate for George Parkinson, aged 45 and Henry Watson, aged 27, with brief physical descriptions. The Protection is provided on the basis that they never used the sea, dated 17 May 1804.
