Folios 129-130: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Response to a request to state the case of Amos Goodwin, who was impressed on board a ship in Sunderland Harbour on 25 April 1804. As a sea fairing man, he was detained for service. He said he was in Sunderland on business with some merchants but when pushed he confirmed tat the merchants knew nothing about this. He had on his possession a certificate form a Suffolk Magistrate the he was Master of a vessel from the port of Orford.
