Folios 105-106: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields, 4 May 1804. Response to a request to state the case of Thomas Horton, who he had sent to the Nore in the Eliza Tender. He was impressed on 28 March 1804 by Lieutenant Consitt at Sunderland on the suspicion that he had been at sea before bound. His Master described him as a native of Kent and said he knew nothing about his employment prior to becoming his apprentice and could not explain the cause of his change of residence.
Folios 107-108: enclosure with folios 105-106. Letter dated 28 April 1804 by Robert Wood, Sunderland. Encloses an affidavit from Robert Lamb requesting the discharge of his Apprentice, Thomas Horton from HMS Rendezvous at Sunderland on the tender, HMS Hind.
Folio 109: enclosure with folios 105-106. Robert Lamb, Master of the Zephor, 28 April 1804. Affidavit signed before William Paley, Justice of the Peace, stating that Thomas Horton bound himself by Indenture on 10 June 1803 for three years and that he had never served at sea or on any navigable rivers. He was impressed 27 March 1804 and is now on HMS Rendezvous.
