Folios 471-472: William Charleton, Regulating Officer, North Shields. John Gill was impressed at Shields because he had no value added to his Articles. Peter Thornton was impressed at South Shileds on 28 December pretended to be a countryman but was known to the press gang.
Folios 473-474: enclosure with folios 471-472. Letter dated 10 February 1804 by A. Alderson. The men listed below were employed in the coal trade as mates on their ships and should not have been impressed. Peter Thornton, Mate, Cygnet, Whitby, John Beadnall Master.
