Folios 234-235: John Henry Cartier, [?] Hotel, Westminster Bridge. Is sending a copy of an affadavit about Thomas Hodges of the Dove, who began the proceedings against Cartier in the Court of Exchequer. Sworn before J. Bennett, Deputy Mayor of Faversham. Matthew Harman and George Hart of Faversham swear that James Hodges and William Mantle in the Dove of Queensborough did on August 18th 1803 did drege and remove a large quantity of oysters from Conger Rock which was the property of James Kelsey and Company.
