Folio 541: Rear Admiral Robert Montague, HMS Utrecht, the Downs, to Captain George Cockburn, HMS Phaeton. The Admiralty have asked him for a report on John Henderson, Carpenter of the Bird, who was impressed and is now aboard HMS Phaeton. Captain Cockburn should return the enclosed document.
Folio 550: Enclosed with Folio 541: Petition from John Slater, Master of the Bird of Newcastle, to the Admiralty. On the 18th of the month his ship was boarded in Yarmouth Roads and Carpenter John Henderson was impressed and taken aboard HMS Phaeton, now at the Nore. The ship was returning from the Baltic with a cargo bound for London, and Henderson was carrying an affidavit signed by Mr Slater that he was the ship's Carpenter. Asks for his discharge.
Folio 552: Enclosed with Folio 541: Captain George Cockburn, HMS Phaeton. Certifies that John Henderson is aboard his ship, and was pressed in Yarmouth Road and sent to him from HMS Zealand.
