Description

Folios 525-526: Letter dated 27 September 1803 by F J Hartwell, Navy Office. Concerning various bills of exchange.

Folios 527-528: Letter dated 28 September 1803 by Charles Hope. A return of ships in commission and in dock at Chatham.

Folios 529-530: Letter dated 28 September 1803 by Isaac Coffin, Sheerness Yard. Reports the arrival of HMS Virginie to the Little Nore, the sailing of HMS Circe, HMS Diana, HMS Sophie and HMS Harpy, and the arrival of the Hawk hired armed cutter.

Folio 531: A return dated 28 September 1803 of the disposable men on HMS Zealand.

Folios 532-533: Letter dated 28 September 1803 by C Saxton, Portsmouth Dock. Details of ship arrivals and sailings.

Folio 534: A return dated 28 September 1803 of the disposable men on HMS Puissant.

Folio 540: Letter dated 27 August 1803 by Rear Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley, HMS Zealand, the Nore, to Captain George Cockburn, HMS Phaeton. Asks him to report on Cotton Brown, George Thomas and Patrick Leonard, who are reported to be Americans now serving in HMS Phaeton, and to transmit any documents they may have produced to show their nationality.
