Administrative / biographical background

The Rivers Access Campaign is funded by Canoe England to raise awareness of the access issue on inland waterways in England (and Wales) and to bring about a change to the access situation. Canoe England was established in 2000 as a division of the British Canoe Union (BCU) to support the development of canoeing in England when the BCU was federalised to become the umbrella organisation for the Home Nation Canoing Associations. The BCU was established in 1936.
