The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) was established in 1961 by the Advertising Association to draft the British Code of Advertising Practice (the CAP Code). CAP is the sister organisation of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and is primarily responsible for the constant revising and updating of the CAP Code.
