Description

Second Army monochrome panoramic photograph depicting Passchendaele Ridge, taken in April 1915.

This panoramic photograph is attached to a grid reference trench map which depicts the area covered in the panorama. The map section measures 39cm x 97cm.

The following locations and features have been annotated onto the panorama, from left to right:

  • Enemy trench at D. 10. a. 29.
  • Cross-roads at D. 10. b. 38.
  • Farm at 10. b. 56.
  • Enemy trench.
  • British trenches.
  • Passchendaele.
  • Church.
  • House in D. 10. d. 99. Enemy trenches in front of this location.
