AVOID is a research programme funded by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) to provide key advice to the UK Government on avoiding dangerous climate change. The programme is carried out by a consortium comprising the Met Office Hadley Centre (project lead), the Tyndall Centre, the Walker Institute and the Grantham Institute, and integrated with other national programmes.
