Folios 210-211. A letter from the Earl of Hillsborough to the Treasury Commissioners, dated at St James's [Middlesex] concerning smuggling carried on from the packet boats in Lisbon [Portugal] station. Following complaints from the Queen of Portugal [Maria I], orders to stop such practices have been given to the Post Master General and the agent at Falmouth [Cornwall].
