A letter from John Robinson to Sir Stanier Porten, dated at Treasury Chambers, concerning damage to houses and [Roman Catholic] chapels sustained by foreign ministers [diplomats] in the late [Gordon] riots. At the request of the Earl of Hillsborough, Monsieur [Marquis] de Cordon, [minister from the Court of Sardinia], has submitted an estimate of his losses amounting to £1938 8s 0d.
