A letter from John Robinson to Sir Stanier Porten, dated at Treasury Chambers, concerning damage to houses and [Roman Catholic] chapels sustained by foreign ministers [diplomats] in the late [Gordon] riots. He is to write to Monsieur [Marquis] de Cordon, [minister from the Court of Sardinia], to enquire after the extent of his damages. Enclosing: Folio 76. Copy from the vote of the House of Commons 6 June 1780, of an humble address.
